IWC CHAMPION SAKE TWICE
International Wine Challenge had announced its 2016 Champions at London Hilton on Park Lane on July 7th.
Various members of wine trade gathered for the announcement from around the world - France, U.S., Spain, Australia, Japan and, of course U.K.. The trophy-winning Sake brewers of Japan gave added splendor to the event with their gorgeous Kimono.
The IWC Champion Sake 2016 was awarded to Dewazakura Dewanosato brewed by Dewazakura Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. from Yamagata. They’ve now won IWC Champion Sake twice, awarded the first time in 2008 for Dewazakura Ichiro. They were also named as the IWC Sake Brewer of the Year 2016.
The IWC Great Value Champion Sake 2016 has gone to Hourai Komachizakura, Watanabe Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. from Gifu. This brewery has been rewarded in 2014 for Hourai, and this will be their second IWC Sake Trophy.

The International Wine Challenge is the world's largest wine competition, and its Sake Category is the 2016 Sake Challenge.
