Can I just access your database to get the contact info for journalists?
Sorry. Nope. Blasting one email to a huge list of journalists is a big disservice to everyone involved:
- Most journalists in the list will not find information useful since it’s not personalized to them
- Some of the journalists will mark your email pitch as spam causing your deliverability issues in the future when you try to email journalists or anyone else for that matter
- JustReachOut would get into trouble for providing an easy way for journalists to get spammed by thousands of people
- Overall you’ll be making it harder for all journalists to monitor their inboxes for personalized pitches which actually ar a good fit for them
So we don’t allow you to mass email journalists on our software platform and we prohibit this practice through our service. We focus on quality over quantity. PR is based on relationships you build with journalists over time based on valuable insights, data, info you share with them. It’s not a numbers game.
When we work with our customers we guide them to send 10- 20 emails per week when they first start out sending emails just to test their subject lines and read time of their email pitch. Each email is personalized to the journalist they are emailing and past few articles they recently published.
